explore day by day
Day 1 Arusha Arrival
Your personal driver guide or representative will meet you at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport/JRO or Arusha Airport/ARK). You will then proceed to your Arusha accommodation for an overnight stay while you await the start of your adventures the following day.
Day two
Arusha to Tarangire National Park (120 kilometers, about two hours)
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s third largest and home to an unusually large elephant population. The majestic baobab trees, which dwarf the animals that feed beneath them, are an interesting feature of the park. Animals congregate along the Tarangire River, which serves as the area’s sole source of permanent water. There is an abundance of wildlife in the park, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to 6,000 elephants. Take a game drive and stop for a picnic lunch. Following another game drive, you’ll make your way to your Karatu accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha Day 3 (190 km approximately 3 hrs 45 mins drive)
Drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area following breakfast and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world’s largest unbroken calderas, home to over 25,000 wild animals. There are more prides per capita in the United States than anywhere else on the planet. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five, which include the lion, leopard, black rhinos, elephant, and buffalo. It is one of the most incredible places on Earth and one of the world’s eight wonders, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is made up of mountain forests, woodlands, grasslands, lakes and swamps, as well as two major rivers. At a picnic site, a packed lunch will be served. Late afternoon, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, bringing your adventures with us to a close.
