Tarangire & Manyara Safari – 2 Days
Tanzania Tour & safaris
description for Tarangire & Manyara Safari – 2 Days
This Tanzania safari is ideal for those interested in seeing the most impressive African animals in a short period of time. These two national parks are located close together, which means you won’t waste valuable time driving between them. Lake Manyara is not only home to an abundance of birds such as hornbills, pelicans, and storks, but also to colonies of pink flamingos. Here, you can encounter lions climbing trees and even stealthy leopards. Tarangire is well-known for its large elephant population and the possibility of spotting predators stalking their prey along the riverbank.

Tarangire & Lake Manyara Safari Tour | Tanzania’s Best Safari Day 1
The group lands at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Participants are met and transferred to a hotel in Arusha by a representative of Africa Moja Safari Adventures’s.
Nota bene: The hotel rate includes only breakfast. The check-in period begins at 2:00 PM.
Tarangire Day 2
Your safari guide will arrive at the hotel after breakfast (around 7:30 AM) and inform the receptionist that he is waiting for you. After meeting your driver, you’ll travel to Tarangire National Park, where you’ll begin your safari at 10:00 a.m.
This park offers the opportunity to see a variety of wild Tanzanian animals (lions, buffalos, giraffes, and zebras), but it is best known for its astounding population of elephants, who typically congregate near their drinking source, the Tarangire River.
You should keep in mind that this is wild nature, and the guide cannot guarantee the presence of specific wild animals, but you can rest assured that he will do his best to locate everything you seek! Africa Moja’s drivers have their own radio channel, which they use to communicate with other guides and collaborate on rare species searches.
Lunch will be served at 12 p.m., following which the safari will continue. You will be transferred to your hotel in the evening.
Additional remarks:
As this is your first day on safari, we ask that you pay close attention to the visitor rules of the national parks and our company recommendations.
It is strictly prohibited to exit the vehicle during the safari, except in specially designated areas. Violations of this rule may result in substantial fines and the revocation of the company’s license.
Off-road driving is also prohibited, as it has the potential to irreparably harm the natural ecosystem’s delicate balance.
While smoking is permitted on the safari, extreme caution should be exercised in extinguishing and disposing of cigarette butts, as they are a frequent cause of fires in the savanna.
Additionally, we kindly request that you refrain from putting your feet on the safari car seats or sitting in the back, as this type of behavior quickly renders the vehicles unusable.
We appreciate your understanding in advance.
Day 3 | Manyara Lake
Early morning wake-up, breakfast, and departure for Lake Manyara. The park’s entire perimeter is cut by ground water streams, which provide an ideal habitat for plants as well as a diverse array of birds (including pink flamingos) and African forest animals.
You will visit the Maji Moto hot springs around lunchtime, and the driver will provide you with personal lunchboxes. Following this stop, the safari will continue and you will be transferred back to your hotel in Arusha by evening.
4th Day | Departure
Rest in your hotel before being transferred to the airport.
Note: The hotel’s check-out time is 11:00 AM. If you require a late check-out due to an evening flight, you may extend your hotel stay until 6:00 PM for an additional fee.
